02 This breed can either have a smooth coat with short hair or a long haired coat. Either type of Chihuahua breed requires just minimal effort for grooming. Simply brush the dogs fur with a pin type brush. Dogs enjoy a good gentle daily brushing, although with this breed two times a week would be fine.
Follow the direction of his fur. Start by brushing his head gently, then work your way down. Your Chihuahua will look forward to his gentle brushing.
Some dogs shy away from grooming, you may want to keep a few small dog treats on hand during this process to keep him relaxed.
