Collie's are great watch dogs. This breed will usually alert you to someone entering their territory. When given adequate exercise you will find them to be very well behaved. They have a very loud bark which may be a great deterrent to a stranger.

This dog was originally breed to be a companion for the farmer and his trusted herder. He is a loyal and loving dog. This breed needs to be introduced to new people slowly and frequently.
