The Collie is a breed which requires daily exercise to keep healthy. The Collie would love to become part of a family who has a large fenced in yard for lots of play time.It would be best if you could take your Collie on 3 daily walks. Since the Collie was originally bred to protect and herd animals they love to play outside. They do best staying with the family in the house at night time. These dogs are very loyal and love and protect their owners.

Many areas offer training sessions for Collies and select other breeds to become therapy dogs. You may want to check in your area if you are interested in visiting nursing homes and hospitals with your Collie.

A Collie is a real treat for the right family. He will also love to be rewarded with a good and tasty treat after a play time session.
