The Clumber Spaniel plays on his own terms. Every so often they will be hit with spurts of energy and play. Otherwise, they can be restful dogs an simply enjoy laying next to their favorite owner.
This breed needs to be walked at least twice a day and would be perfect for a family that has a nice large back yard. When the Clumber Spaniel has an energy burst it is best if you just go with it and let him play in the yard.
It is great to reward any dog with an occasional dog treat, however the Clumber Spaniel does put on weight easily. If you find yourself giving the dog too many treats just make sure to expand his play and walk time.
