The Bichon Frise loves people. A great situation for this breed of dog is an individual or family who will spend alot of time with the dog. These dogs need lots of attention. If you are working with a reputable breeder or rescue organization be sure to ask alot of questions about the personality and temperament of the dog you are considering adopting. The ideal situation is to match your personality profile to a dog who can easily fit into your family's life style. Many breeder's will allow you to meet the dog's mother and father when possible. When you meet the dog's parents be aware of their personality traits.

If you can not spend alot of time with a dog you may wish to consider an older dog. Once an older dog is adopted and gets comfortable with his new surroundings he will make a great dog for someone who is moderately active. When you find the right Bichon Frise for you, it is always nice to keep a few small dog treats on hand to share with him. You will be well rewarded with loyalty and love from your dog.
