The Boxer is a great watchdog. He will bark and alert you to someone coming into his territory. He also thinks that he is a much bigger dog then he really is. It is important to never leave children with a Boxer unattended. The Boxer is a very powerful and strong dog and can even knock down a large man. If you do not want the protection you will need to start socializing your Boxer as soon as possible. Like other breeds the earlier you can start with the socialization process the better.
