Many people think the Miniature Pinscher is simply a smaller version of the Doberman Pinscher but this is not the case. The origin of the Miniature Pinscher is unknown. It is beleived that the Miniature Pinscher is a cross between a terrier and the Italian Greyhound. This dog had a lot of energy and guts. Just like the terrier, he thinks he is a much bigger dog than he really is. When you get a Miniature Pinscher you get a very big dog in a small package.
