Grey Hound Weight

The Grey Hound...a small to medium sized dog 4/10 04

The Grey Hound is a small to mid sized dog with a weight that can range from 12-17 pounds. Females from the breed tend to be smaller.

The activity level of this dog is so great that you can feel free to give him lots of dog treats. Grey Hounds need to be exercised daily. You should walk him as many times as you can per day. Also, this dog will love to go with you to a safe dog park for at least a good 30 minutes of play. You will find that after a nice bit of time at the dog park he will still be ready for action. This need for constant activity makes him a great pet for a family with kids who like to be on the go.

Greyhounds need plenty of fuel for their bodies. You will need to feed your dog a high quality dog food. However, since these dogs are prone to bloat, do not allow your dog to overeat. Several small meals are better for his health than one large meal. Consult your veterinarian to find out how much you should feed your dog at each meal. A good vitamin supplement is also a good idea for the Grey Hound dogs.
